Another Trip Around the Sun
Opening a New Chapter
As my birthday nears, I am counting the blessings I have experienced over the year:
Two new grandsons
Our son’s wedding
Reconnecting with old friends and cultivating new relationships
Fun family gatherings
Deeper involvement with our church (St. James’ Episcopal Church)
New consulting challenges, coupled with successful problem-solving with current clients
Positive university student outcomes and graduation celebrations
We are thankful for my husband’s two successful knee replacement surgeries—he is out-moving us all! The icing on the cake (pun intended) has been my personal stake in an exciting Kentucky-centric venture. More information to come soon.
Overall, it was another beautiful trip around the sun.
This year, I will be opening a new chapter aligned with my birthday. I have joined Bellarmine University as an Instructor of Marketing in the Department of Business Administration for Fall 2025. During my onboarding, I have received a warm welcome from all facets of the university. I am diving into new course content and getting to know my colleagues. I’ve started to immerse myself in the culture and (my favorite aspect of teaching) getting to know the students. My personal goal is to bring value to the university wherever I can contribute. I’m up for the task!
All of this change has punctuated the opportunity to practice what I preach:
Take moments to sit back and breathe.
Celebrate the special moments.
Don’t sweat the little stuff.
Appreciate the seasons of life and learn from each of them.
I am incredibly grateful for my faith, family, and friends who have guided and supported me to get to this point in time. God has blessed me with another year of life. I plan to live it to its fullest.
